Baby Derby has arrived!

Jacob Paul "JP" was born on July 31st at 6:07 pm. He weighed 9 pounds and 5 ounces. He and Mrs. Derby are doing great. 

More last day fun

Last day of fun in second grade!

We spent our last morning together being creative and using our minds. We played brain games that challenged our thinking skills and created origami shapes. 

Thank you to Mrs. Bortz and Brendan for teaching us how to create many different origami pieces. 

Thank you to all who brought in brain games to challenge our thinking skills. 

Final showcase

We had our final showcase today and many students received awards for all of their hard work. 

I am so proud of them all for their continual efforts through out second grade. Job well done!

We beat out the entire school for having the highest average of books checked out. Keep reading over the summer break!

Guadalupe even won principal of the day! So amazing, I can't wait to see Guadalupe in action. 

Multiplying critters

We practice repeat addition  (multiplication) today by making critters out of pipe cleaners. 

Museum of Life and Science

We could not have asked for nicer weather or a better day at the museum. I really believe that everyone had a ton of fun on our trip. Thank you again to our volunteers who attend the trip with us.
